Following on from our power cuts, I decided that if we have to use candles again, I was going to have candlesticks that are prettier than the jam pots we used last week!
I saw this at the antiques fair and love the colour.
What is this called with white glass lining the blue? The white entirely covers the interior.
    Would it be Victorian? Or?
    Approx 5” tall.
    Any information welcome :)

The term is overlayed glass. This one looks late 19th century Bohemian and would be a scent bottle rather than a candlestick.

I believe it is called cased glass. I don't know who made it. Sure is pretty though

..and a third layer of colorless glass applied on the foot, perhaps hot-crimped, can't really tell from the photo. Also cold decorated afterwards with gilt enamel and re-heated to fuse. Quite a bit of work on this little fellow!

It didn’t occur to me that it could be anything other than a candlestick!
What type of stopper would it have had?

It’s pleasing my eye, this colour is a favourite of mine.
Thankyou for the information about construction, that gives me search terms to research.

Fluted, I'd think. To continue the design of the body itself.

Something like this? This one isn’t white lined but similar?
I love it even more as a scent bottle, just need to find a stopper :)

That's from an eBay listing, isn't it? Appears to be a marriage. Not quite large or important enough for the bottle.

I'd expect something more like this. Where the form continued on the stopper and the design motif was the same on both elements.

Oh wow, That’s amazing! So beautiful.
Chances of me finding something matching and the right size is about the same as finding rocking horse poo!

@i need help is there any way of editing the title of this thread please to say perfume/scent bottle as I’ve totally misidentified it as a candlestick :banghead:
I’ve looked but seems I can only edit the text.
