Featured Pair of Lamps I need some help with. Carriage?

    In studying the pics I note breathing holes below where the flame would be. You might check the bottom section as there must have been a way to replace the candle (if it housed a candle?). I see a small hole in the bottom section which may have been for retaining screw. Perhaps it comes apart at that point? It may have threads or it may be close fitting?

    I am pretty sure all the candle mechanism is gone. There is a guy in Australia wants them. He offered 800 plus shipping.
