Anyone recognize this type of glass ornament? Are they meant to go over lights? They were in a box with older ornaments so thinking somewhat vintage.

Forgot I had one more to ask about. Blown glass, looks like a blimp. Any ideas?

We've had three of these old bulbs for years but we've never used them. The insert may be hard rubber or plastic? Bulbs were inserted. It's possible that they could be made into ornaments without damaging them. I'm guessing 1920's or there-a-bouts? The dirigible ZR-3 was built in Germany in 1923-1924 by Zephlin. Perhaps the red/white/green colors were the colors of the German flag at that time? Again the 1920s.

The colors of the Germany flag have not changed. I'd think the red & green & white is meant to be seasonal.

That is so helpful! So they aren't old. I wondered about the text on the paper, couldn't quite make it out, but it looked like a newer font. Mystery solved. Thank you.
