Two Figurines Made in France

    I obtained two figurines from the estate of a collector, only mark on that I can barely make out is --made in france--. Base is 7 inches by 5 inches and stands 12 inches tall. Each one weighs 6 pounds and not sure of material they are made of. Could possibly be bookends?

    In the last picture, the close-up of the lady's face, it looks like lacquered chalkware. I could be wrong. Wait for others to have a look.
    It would be nice if you could post a picture of the bottoms of the base.

    The only other thing that comes to mind is Blanc de Chine. The bottom could be the key.

    I'm going out on a limb...and say that I'm seeing resin....and the value is between 20 to 35 bucks ...
