    Hello everyone,
I am wondering if anyone might have any information about my sofa. I inherited it from my mother, but she only owned it a few years prior to her passing. It is in pristine condition, and this picture does not do it justice. Both of the lamps are in working condition, and the back of that area is mirrored, and when it is lit up, it really looks amazing! I am guessing that the piece is from the 60s, but that is just a guess. Oh, sorry for the black blob in the middle there. My dog needed to get in the picture, too...lol. Again, any information would be great! My mother always had a great appreciation for beautiful things and wanted to find out a much about their history as possible, and I suppose I am following in her footsteps.

    Thanks so much!

Hello Tsnyder. The problem new members most often have with their first post is that their photo files exceed the limit. In your case, think we're going to need a larger, better lit photo along with some closer up showing details.

It is almost a requirement for membership here that you have one or more pets & we get to see it/them.

Thank you so much for the reply. Unfortunately, that is the only picture I have of it at the moment. It is currently covered up by a ton of Christmas decorations, a little bit of laundry, and probably another dog...lol. I will try to get better pictures soon, but it may be later rather than sooner! Iḿ a teacher, and we are doing that big end of the semester push, and when thatś done, I think they have given us two days off until Christmas Eve...which is when our festivities kick off. Hopefully it will be uncovered and ready for some close-ups soon. Oh, and the dog pics...thereś PLENTY more where those came from...lol.

    Thanks again!

And yes, I TOTALLY see the difference between my pictures and others posted! I guess Iḿ just used to clicking on the picture to make it bigger these days...lol. Thanks again for the advice.

You'll quickly get the hang of it. If you browse around though any of the threads, you'll see that more often than not, there is a little tag above each that says click to enlarge, but the file size has to be in the Goldilocks zone, not too big, not too...

Pic is probably sufficient other than we like to see details. Agree that this is late 60s or early 70s. Have not seen one quite like it so, barring a label, determining who made it will be nearly impossible. NYC, Chicago, LA, and probably other places had small makers creating innovative furniture such as this. Don't think it is from a mainstream company.

I blew it up a bit to ask a couple questions. Are the flowers on the cushions original? Is it crushed velvet or leather(or something else)?

It reminds me very much of something my Cuban relatives in Miami would have had in the 60s ! Mediterranean style,I just love the color. That painting above it matches perfectly .:)

I cannot really see the lights on the sides, and looks like "end table" arms on it?

Is it crushed velvet? It looks huge! I love it! Have some happy time off from the kids and a very Merry Christmas!

Are the end tables part of the couch?

Didn't we have a question about a couch with that configuration earlier this year?
