Agree with the others, and to add that synthetic (ie lab grown) tigers eye doesn't exist in the market, so it is one of the few stones that you can safely id by eye. There are some simulants made of chatoyant fibre optic glass but they are not very realistic.

 

And they're rarely done in brown. Tigerseye is pretty inexpensive; I'm guessing the real stone is cheaper than a decent glass simulant would be.

Very nice tigers eye. Always looks almost edible to me.

 

Hercules/Heracles. The lion's skin is his signature apparel.

 

I have never again seen anything comparable. You can't tell from photo; it's quite large as cameos go. It's not much smaller than the pic. Very heavy. Hard to imagine how it would have been worn & who would have worn it.

 

I've noticed men compliment this stone a lot. I love Tigereye. These pretty beads will look nice alone, together, or with other types of necklaces : )

 

I love tiger eye and often think it’s underrated. Maybe just out of fashion at the moment, it’s not something I see people wearing very often.
