Help! What Brand/era is this?

Me and my husband buy storage units at auction to resell. The furniture that was in the storage unit I have never came across before. The dresser and bed have gold cast iron attached to it and the dresser has a marble top. These do not have any markings that I can find, so I am reaching out to the experts for help. Could anyone tell me what era, brand and worth point on these?

 

Very ornate rococo revival. If the hardware is cast iron and not ormolu bronze, fairly new. Absence of markings is common.

 

Try using bombe chest or dresser as a search term.

 

Lookup “French Regence style”, which is what your furniture is meant to look like. Yours is clearly not period furniture, but other than looking pretty new (guessing late 20th century), it is really not possible to say how old without better pictures. Your pics do not show condition, only general style.

There are different qualities of reproduction furniture like this, which has a big impact on value, but again impossible to say from your inadequate pics. Since these are not antique, but used furniture, you can look up comparables in your area; used furniture value is highly dependent on where in the country you are, and how you try to sell it (craigslist, auction, retail, etc.)

 

Definitely reproduction circa 1970’s > probably Italian. Either way your local 2nd hand furniture stores should be interested.
