Figural knife & sheath made in Brazil w/wizard, coconut trees, stones - made of clay?

I found this at a thrift store yesterday; at first I was sure it was a cheap copy and would say Made In India or China on the blade, but it said Tramontina - Inox - Brazil! (I found a knife company named tramontina, so I guess it's not as old as I thought - but what is it/used for?
It also has a city or quote on the back of the sheath that says CATARATAS IGUAZO

I've seen these before but now that I have one I need to know if this is this anything special or just a tourist piece?

Thanks Debora - if it has to be a tourist piece it's cool it's from the largest waterfall in the world!

 

Tramontina is the maker of the cheapest of the cheap serrated table stainless knives and flatware sold all throughout South America by the millions. Iguazu Falls is one of the most popular non-beach destinations of the eastern seaboard of the said continent, and souvenirs shops are as common as in Oxford St or Disneyland. They put some effort into yours though, with the stones and all.

 

Yep. Water the color of hot chocolate if you can imagine. (In photographs it's often retouched to a more pleasing greenish blue.)
