Got this pinback lot over the weekend. Can't imagine there are many John Brown for Governor (Kentucky 1979) that are like this with his entire cabinet pictured out there in the wild.

    Lol, this made me smile.
I sometimes work in Bristol and the further down you go the more you hear this term.
    ‘Y’all reet my luvuur’
    Term of endearment :hilarious:

So that's where we Yanks got the "y'all"! I knew it had to come from somewhere; some of y'all Brits must have taken one look at New England winters and headed South when you arrived. I often hear echoes of US accents (surprise surprise) in western UK accents.

    Recent Charity shop purchases.
The silver and pink stone ring is by designer David Scott Walker, the gold plated ink pen is Swan Mabie, Todd and Co NY. Pity it’s initialled.
Art deco style silver earrings and pair of amber drops, silver bracelet, the dragon brooch is unmarked silver. Bakelite beads, pewter owl and costume brooches, plastic cameo.
Sparkly paste bracelet by Esha Randel, (not a person a German manufacturer). Best buys were that, the Mabie pen and Waker ring for £1 each.

A few mid-century finds, plastic faux marble vase marked DES Vase I Made in USA, crazy wire wrapped vase with embedded plastic leaves, and handled glass dish/votive. Thought the dish/votive might be Viking Glass, but just found similar design with a candle cup.
And a cute little composition/paper mache pumpkin man, I think a candy container missing its base.

I found this set of 6 Fenton Silver Crest 9oz footed tumblers a while back, took a chance on them. My research shows they are very hard to find and quite desirable :)

love your candy container:) not really missing the base, it was just a cardboard piece that would keep the candy inside, most times it is never on them:)
It is shown in Vintage Halloween Collectibles by Mark B Ledenbach, page 52

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Wasn't sure just where to post this, and can't find where the other recently posted hand bag went to, so here goes. I'm assuming this isn't a knock-off, as Mom didn't usually get stuck that way, but this goes back to mid Sixties.....ahem...part of my "wedding (or honeymoon) ensemble".....black Sax.FifthAvenue crocodile hand bag, with accompanying kid gloves, mirror and change purse (but no dime in it!!!). Also, a 'fish scale' I think for nails (does anyone remember them being used????) Couldn't find a black one, but found similar brown ones.....mine's been sitting on shelves since the same mid-sixties!!! OOOPS, 1st Dibs had one in black, now unavailable!! Mostly wondering JUST how collectible these might be!!! Would LOVE to move it along!!!

I snagged this "pre" estate sale Art Nouveau cutie. It's constructed in three pieces. The flowers are made of iron and the woman spelter.

RIMG0534 (2).JPG Found a unusual large small cannon today.
The barrel is like 48 cm long.
According to the seller's story it was given to a CEO of a big Belgian maritime compagny (called; CMB).
The cupper plate on the side reads; "6-4-66 CA Corps 1-1-69" ...what ever it means...
The gun shows a date "1657", not sure
Second pic show the same gun with a similar one at a most common size.
