What do you think of this strange photo?

    I found this about five years ago. The right side is cut off because you cannot see the border.

    The back has thin pencil writing on it from probably 30 years ago or more so is faint.

    It's 8" by 5".

    Do you think it's an art photo? Are the kids posed there or did they just stumble upon this odd three card set-up?

    That's what I was thinking, too. The cards - black, white, and neutral gray - would demonstrate the effects of different exposures and be a guide when printing the photo. (Back in the real black and white film photography days.)

    I can still smell the chemicals from my photography class which was a bust for me in college.
