Featured Storage Find Aztec Drawing On Old Leather Skin,Writing on back.

I found this 12"x12" artwork in a storage I bought about 4 months ago.Came across it today. Look like an Aztec calender.I'm not sure but writing on the back look like.
Aztec History at Mexico’s National Museum ,but not sure so I'm asking you guys what you think.Appears to be some type of leather skin.

It is a modern rendition of the Aztec Sun Stone or Calendar Stone which is in the Museo Nacional de Antropología in Mexico City.

It is a popular image, especially with the New Age crowd, who will also love this 'tribal' look on leather.

Wow it’s so spectacular! I never realized the scope of “the” stone. I’ve seen a million interpretations but this may be the first time I really looked at the original. Thanks

 

Yes, I thought it would be nice to post a photo with people in it, so the scale is apparent. It is an impressive stone, and an impressive Aztec masterpiece.
