I hope someone can help me to identify the origins of this brooch please. It looks Egyptian Revival to me but Dont know what the markings are? And what it might be made off? Modern , Vintage?

    Many thanks

It is indeed Egyptian Revival, and made in Egypt, those are Egyptian marks. Cairo stamped gilded silver, .800 fineness.
I suspect it is an older piece.
Is there another mark on the lower right lotus bud in this photo?

Thanks so much This is the best I can do with the other marking. Hope it makes sense. Any idea when it would have been made? Again a big thanks .

I hope one of the marks on the bud is a date mark, but we need someone with better eyes. @Bronwen ?:)

Looks like there may be a couple of other stamps in addition to the 2 that are clear fineness marks, but they're too indistinct to make out. In my experience Egyptian jewellery that is made of multiple separate pieces may have a fineness mark on many of the pieces. If there are other marks here, it is likely that they are also for fineness. @Stephen Lang Here is a chart of Egyptian date letters you can compare with:

Yes, that is a very North African thing. I have an Algerian brooch with dangles that has 11 fineness marks.;)
