1636843693974.jpg 1636843693961.jpg It's a family ring we know nothing about, passed from my grandmother to my mother to me. I would love to learn more about these markings. I would appreciate any insights you may have! Thanks so much!

Wow! That was fast! Thank you soo much! You got all these information from the markings? I searched internet but couldn't find any markings that look like these. If you don't mind me asking, where do you get all this info? This is amazing! Thanks again!

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Those marking, in their shadows, are incredibly strange.....I mean the marking!!! Just reducing some of the shadows seems to bring up some very strange "animals" or beasts???? Look also at the Positive AND the Negative!! And from different angles......
And yes, the ruby looks Stunning!!!!

Ok so thanks to "I need help" the middle markings and the origins are clear. Apparently the letters (w) were only added until 1939, which would narrow the date of the ring to 1931-1939. Just from curiousity do you know what the first (1A or IA?) and the last markings (head?) are for?

    Lovely ring!
The W stands for Warsaw, where it was made. Where did you read that the letters were only added until 1939? Not so. Your rectangular mark was used up until 1963, when the shape of the mark seems to have changed to a lozenge and male figure faced to the left instead of the right (not quite sure on this)... but the letter/figure/number continued in use.
The 3 stands for the gold fineness... in your case, 585 or 14K.
In Poland, the helmeted male head was/is used to indicate gold, a scarved female head for silver, a horse's head for platinum, and a dog's head for palladium.
The single head stamp appears to indicate that parts of the item were imported (the coral and/or the gold), then the the head stamp with the letter and number gives you the city of manufacture and the fineness.

DISCLAIMER: I'm no expert, this info was gleaned when I was researching some Polish jewelry that I own.

THIS ring looks similar to yours, the seller states it is "synthetic ruby".
