  1. The book was

Jewellery in the Age of Queen Victoria - A mirror to the world Charlotte Gere & Judy Rudoe

Here is the reference page with necklace similar to mine 2filcollar9.JPG

  2. The earrings are very cool - Are they gold ??

There are a lot of differnt terms people use to describe this type of filigree.
I see it called Spun Silver , Peasant Silver and in India they call it Taraksi - done in Cuttack East India.

There are so many countries that historically have done this type of silver work, Italy, Portugal, Malta, Peru India etc etc - even the english did it back in the early 19th Century - rare georgian items sometimes turn up. I sold a english hallmarked georgian caddy spoon in it around a year ago

But the country that does it best (in my opinion) is Russia - the russians made quite large items - large caskets etc in breathtaking intricate filigree designs

That would be for day and evening wear. They are stunning, both yours and the coral ones.

As an aside, the concept of Victorian Mexican, as in the listing, is very confusing to me. But I suppose it would make sense to someone from the former British empire.
In the Netherlands we tend to narrow it down to decades or styles. Or say late 19th century, etc.
