Featured Sterling necklace

    A sterling chain attached to a pendant. The chain is set up in such a way that I can’t actually be removed from the pendant but the pendant looks like it has some other metal underneath.     I’ll be getting a reputation for asking this question!
    Have you shone a UV light on it?. If it’s glass and reacts to UV they sell quite well even if not precious metal.

    With only details I never have an idea what something actually looks like.:( Is the chain as chunky as it seems to be on the photos? The pendant seems to be a nice oldie.

    The back of the pendant looks like it could be silver, with some solder blobs here and there.
    The 'stone' looks like satin glass, is it cold to the touch?

    The little stones look like glass, so it makes sense for the big piece to be glass too. The way that reacts to blacklight ... custard glass?? It could easily be sterling; back in the 1910s and 20s a lot of sterling pieces had glass stones.
