    Hello,

I hope you are all well!
This thread is about a newfound bracelet, which is very beautiful but mysterious to me.
I don't know anything about it, except that it is extensively marked 925 silver and that the cabochon is probably lapis lazuli.
But where and when could it have been made?

    Thank you, as always.

It is a lovely bracelet from the Turkish part of Kurdistan, Lake Van region. It is not very old, but based on traditional styles.
If you google Turkish foxtail bracelet you will see similar ones, with a variety of panels and stones. The most traditional style has detailed niello panels.
This type of jewellery is usually marked on every panel and on the clasp.

Lake Van is a tourist destination, which has kept the local silversmiths busy.;) I always buy this style jewellery when it has niello, and the price is right.

Thank you very much, Any Jewelry, I was looking forward to your reply!
I have some more questions about it: does my bracelet have niello, do you think? I cleaned the bracelet with silver polish, I hope I haven't cleaned it too much...
What would the right price be for a piece like this (just out of curiosity, I collect jewelry for myself)?
Finally, I would like to know if you know how to tighten the clasp: the fold-over part of it doesn't "click" like a new one would, and opens. This is not really a problem, as the bracelet doesn't fall off anyway, but maybe you know of some kind of trick to keep it closed...
    Thank you again!

    You're welcome, MmePlantier.
No, niello is really black, and Turkish niello inlay is polished flush with the surface of the silver.
This is a detail of one of my Turkish Kurdish niello necklaces:

    Don't worry, it looks fine.:)
I am a cheapskate, so I only pay super bargain prices.:shame:;) You can check sites like ebay or etsy.
I usually bend the end clip part of the clasp. Very carefully, using jewellery pliers, and the silver covered with a soft cloth.
If you feel you can't do that yourself, ask a jeweler to do it for you. It should only take them a few seconds, so I don't think they would charge anything.

I managed to fix the clasp, thank you!
I won an auction for 20 dollars, so I'm really happy :shame:

    And your bracelet is marvelous!

That's a good deal for a solid, or almost, silver bracelet. I'd have suggested the jeweler's pliers too; it's how I'd do it, and have. There's about 1/4 of a mark on the back, illegible of course darnitt, that may have held even more clues if we could see it.
