Hi, I found these two forks together, similar shape, but not identical and the marks are definitely not the same.
According to https://www.925-1000.com/Ffrench_marks.html the first one has the French guarantee mark and standard/title mark for 1819-1838. I can't quite make out the makers mark, but I've been through every maker of that period on the same site and can see nothing that looks the same.

The second fork has two markings I can barely make out, one is a head, the other no idea - has an 8 beside it, and I know I've seen that before but can't find it now of course! The makers mark is much more legible but I still can't find it.

another background could help your handy taking the proper distance for clear pics.

    I agree.

Fid said 'handy' which is the term for mobile/smartphone in the German language areas.
He is right about the background. A lighter background makes for a shorter exposure time, so a better photo. Plus in your photos the camera focused on the keyboard rather than the forks.;)

The first fork has the maker’s mark of Mrs Françoise Nicolas from Paris, active 1833-1844. On top of mark is a sun, then NICOLAS and below, (F) for Françoise. She is said to be a cuilleriste, meaning making cutlery.

Thanks for that Any Jewelry, I'll have another go, but I did take some on a different surface with worse results (although better than I can see through a loupe) - my biggest problem is that I can't keep my hands still enough

Thanks so much The Swede that's awesome - now that you say it, I can see Nicolas
