    Been a while since I've posted. Things have been busy for me this last year. I got into grad school, dropped out, and am now focusing on my writing and Etsy store full time. :oops: I miss this community, and hope to show you some recent finds, starting with this tribal basket I found in Arizona.

    The wrapping where the handles are attached is also rattan (split).

    It looks similar to a Ghanaian "Bolga" basket, except for the handles. I wonder if it might be a Chinese version. They will copy any popular kind of basketry.
