Hello. Any information about the bowl or an approximate value for the Lilian Snelling litho would be very helpful. The bowl appears to have 3020 C7 on the back and a spot of iron oxide peeking through the glaze on the front. Thank you.

I agree, not dandelion/ Not convinced that the plate has dandelions either.

Print is certainly one of the Mesembryanthemum family. It's not strictly a succulent, but is fleshy leaved.

The bowl isn't a dandelion, it's a wild flower and the name escapes me. Back in a bit.

I found another print in the series. This one does have some info on the back on a tag (will photograph and post later . . . I think it said 1926). 20211104_131955.jpg 20211104_132543.jpg 20211104_131950.jpg

I had a fish server once from a company called Ad. Hache & Pepin Lehalleur, with decoration that seems similar. The plate was made circa 1880. Similarity in decoration might be coincidental.

The bowl looks like one of the bazillion late 19th and early 20th century French Limoge region transferware patterns. The initials are probably piece work tally signed by whatever colorist embellished the decals. What is that impressed mark on the back?

There are three impressions that I can see, DM. 1) The number 2. 2) Two parallel lines or the roman numeral II. 3) Dead center (the maker's mark?) - an 8, infinity symbol, or maybe CC. I also provided some closer pics of details in case they help with identification.

I still think at least some of the flowers depicted on the bowl are dandelions. il_794xN.694874053_e8an.jpg

OBB does gorse have those bell type flowers sometimes?

I fell in love with the gorse blooming in Scotland both for the way it looked on the hills and even more for the scent. I decided I should try growing some at home in the US however it's not very welcome apparently because it's invasive so I'll just have to go back to Scotland:).

These are some photos from one time I was there and the flowers seem more pea flower like I think.

    There's varietals, as they say.

As to that first flower, look carefully at the leaves and the nature of the flower. The plate flower is a single inflorescence, flat with no corona round the base. The daisy heads are springing from multiple stems. Leaves have quite different serrations. So, not dandelion. It's one of the bellis family.
