Anyone know what this is?

I got this from a antique store. It has no markings on it. It has 2 chambers. One chamber contains a yellowish powder I believe to be lycopodium. I sprinkled some of the powder over a lighter and it made quite the fireball. The other chamber I believe had a wick that used alcohol or kerosene. Then I believe a tube was attached to the bottom of the unit and during operation I believe air would be applied to the unit while it was lit to make a hot flame possibly used for glass or some other lab usage. I have several posts online and nobody knows what it is. The construction of it screams that it's old and it looks well made. Any thoughts or theories would be helpful. I have searched everywhere.

Here's a Lycopodium flash torch (I like how it says "perfectly safe"). Not sure if there is any correlation to your piece. This one seems to have chambers that open up:

Thank you sabre124. So it's used for magic shows or things with pyrotechnics? I can't find hardly anything else about it. I'm guessing it's rare. How much is something like this worth? It's the best thing I've bought this year. Perhaps I'll try it out. Maybe hook it to a air compressor.

It is powered by a person's breath,a compressor would probably blow it up in your face.

It's made of copper with some sort of silver coating. How old do you think it is or how can I find out?

We used to make our own with a candle stuck inside a coffee can and a funnel that fit there also. The spout passed through a hole in the bottom of the can and we placed a hose on it. Spectacular flames. We just used flour. The Mythbusters built various sized versions until they made flames so large you could not go near them
