Coolest Find! Rare Cartoon-ish 1960's - 1970's Plymouth Muscle Cars Advertisement

I found this at a estate sale today but the seller told me he'd searched & couldn't find a similar piece.
I found a magazine ad and I believe it was saying Plymouth's rapid transit system was a way for regular people to make their Plymouth faster & stronger for racing, etc easily with Plymouth parts & their system showing you how to do it
Has anyone seen one like this or this size (41" x 16")?
Was this for a mechanic shop? A dealership?
Wherever it was from, it's cool, right?

Based on that tag on the back and the condition of the framing, might it be a repro?

That's the guy I got it from - he puts his sticker on all things he sells

 

PS - He does pop up sales & instagram (what I need to learn but I think I'm too old - my smart phone is smarter than I am!) - he said he has over 500 followers on it - and puts his sticker on things so people will find him again easily (his apartment was incredible; he showed me his collection of (cgc graded!) golden age Batman comics, old horror movie posters & all kinds of old toys! RETROITIS is his ...virtual store?

 

Have you had it out of the frame to see if there is any publishing info?

No it was professionally framed & I didn't want to mess with it

 

Has a real 1970s look to the illustration.

I'd have to guess at 41 inches that this might have been something in a car store or mechanic shop as you suggested. Probably a long shot, but you could call the framer listed on the back on the off chance they remembered it.

 

I'd say it's an original promo piece. Real cars traveled the dealer circuit. Behind the matting, you'd see a copyright by Chrysler corp.

On a personal note, my first car was a '69 Plymouth Satellite 4-door, affectionately christened the 'brown bomber' by my friends (I called her 'Sadie') - back in the days before Central Florida was traffic-hell, thanks to her sturdy and surprisingly powerful 318 engine (likely the same one as in your Duster, S_I_S), a fearless teenager would blaze down the highway to the beach at speeds the wiser and much older Cheryl wouldn't (though still have to watch that 'leadfoot')...

My Duster was almost new when I got it, I think it was a repop, less than a year old. The previous owner put a glasspack muffler on it so it roared a bit so no sneaking around in it. Not at all what I was like really but I loved it just the same.

Our first car was a 66 Plymouth Sport Fury that drank gas like it was going out of style. Bought on a street corner in the Bronx in 69 from a dealer who had driven it down from Rhode Island.

 

I'll try him, thanks. I live in Miami so you don't have to tell me about traffic! There's an area near me in N Miami called Aventura which has US1 (Biscayne Blvd) running through it & most people avoid it if possible during morning & evening because there are SO many condos there that the traffic is...can't think of a bad enough descriptive word for it!
