Help with Deer Lamp?

    Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help with this deer lamp. I can't find another like it and there is no makers mark unfortunately. Would anyone have an idea what it's made out of by looking at the pictures? That's what I'm having trouble with. I assume some kind of a Chalkware or Ceramic? The tail has a chip so I know it's brittle. Weighs 16 pounds. 26 1/2 inches tall including the shade and 16 inches across the base. Really is a beautiful piece. Works too. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Marked or not, we normally like to see the underside of an item.

    A closeup of the chip may also give a clue to the right member.

    I think not old, perhaps not even porcelain but resin?
    Too many holes and not enough fluid design work to be antique.
    If we could see the bottom, we may be able to tell you more about it.

    Looking at the chip I would say it is chalkware/plaster. Modern light switch & shade. Maybe late 60s-early 70s.
