Around how much this is worth, it's a green silver band vase

Just wanted to get an idea of how much this is worth. Found it at an estate sale. The owner said it's worth at least $800.

 

Is it marked? What is the size? Do you have pictures of the base? You don't give us much to go by. Looks pretty, but not worth $800 unless it's by Tiffany. Out of curiosity, what did you pay for it?

 

It was bought in Europe. And was appraised for 800-900. It's marked "Morocco 350/3506"

 

If you've already had it appraised, why are you asking here? And is that euros or some other currency?

Are you sure the band is silver? Was it ever tested?

I think you have a vase made in Safi, on the central coast of Morocco.
Safi is the ceramics capital of Morocco, and they often add metalwork to ceramics, some nicely understated like yours, some more extravagant.

 

The previous owner had it appraised and I don't know how long ago. Just wanted to check again. Canadian Dollars.

That,d be a hard pass for me. Without anything but the owners word,thats a lot of money to spend.

 

AND we normally don't do outright appraisals....for many reasons..... although some may offer their opinion occasionally.....but it IS lovely!!!

 

It's a pretty thing. I wouldn't have spent much on it, but then I passed on a piece of Rookwood today because it was late production and chipped.
