    J. F. Borgfeldt seems to have been a Kurz- und Galanteriewaren store. Unter den Linden makes sense because Kurzwaren (kurze Waren - short products; contrary to long products that were out of fabric)) and Galanterie from French galanterie (advertency) were small gifts to impress ze Frauleins to get their attention - so a gift shop.

I was thinking $799.90, which is in keeping with the Sotheby's example.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

63 gbp is 86.69 USD, according to Mr. Giggle!!

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Well, sounds like there is some market for it, at least.

of course there is. Unter den Linden in Berlin with hotels like the famous Adlon and all the restaurants and embassies was the place to be.
I think it would have been placed best in a Berlin auction.
