Help identifying a hallmark on this ring

    Hello everyone,

    I've just stumbled across this site and joined as I'm hoping someone can help me to identify the hallmark on this ring.

    I would really like to try and get at least a rough date of this ring if possible.

    Any help you can give would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

    Appears to be a gold mark, although the ones above are for silver, the style of the mark is so similar I'm convinced.

    Yes it's a 14k gold. It's a wedding ring.

    It has been suggested that it could be possibly Russian or Middle Eastern.

    Silver and gold markings from a single country are often similar in style, although not identical.

    "Middle Eastern" covers too many countries to comment.

    I have not been able to find a resource for gold marks for Russia or the Soviet Union.

    Gold 585 = 14 k. Russia. 2011.

    Thank you. Do you think there is any chance that it's actually the worker in a cap - up to 1927-58? I was desperately hoping it would be from 1953-54 (long story).

    Maybe this helps, the girl in the mark is wearing a traditional Russian kokoshnik, a smallish one, like this:
