Hello. Can anyone tell me the maker? It's on a tea / demise set. Looks like Josef Kuba but there is a C and an N? Ty in advance

One last ??? Lol... any idea of the age of this set?

 

Since the label says Germany, and not West Germany or Western Germany, it would be either from before 1949 or after 1989. I can't tell whether it would be the earlier or later period.

Also, I notice the sticker on yours is hard to see, although @wiscbirddog lightened the photos. That seems to be because there is some sort of mark either under it or stamped over it. That mark also looks like there is a crown at the top, and some words across the middle.

 

why does it show a Vienna Bindenschild along with Germany ?
one of the many fakes or some importer like Samson ?

 

I don't know who made it and I can't make out what is says under your label though it appears to be a crown with some words.

I did find this similar one with a C&N/N&C label though "West Germany" covering something that also looks like a crown with some words. I think this one might be a Heinrich mark like the fourth one from Rontgen's book. I rotated it and fiddled with the color. I think it has a crown H&C

nope. fairytale from some internet specialists that do not understand German and do not know anything about the "Made in Germany". there was never a legislation in German about the term Made in Germany.

in Germany itself - and after the separation and foundation of the GDR in 1949 - BOTH states used the term. this didn't go well with the industry in the western part that was known under the unofficial name BRD - no legislation about the use of BRD either ! - and the BRD industry tried to forbid the use of "Made in Germany" by GDR companies.
this was denied by the Federal Court in Karlsruhe because it would have meant that the existence of TWO German states was accepted by the BRD, which was seeing itself as representation of the WHOLE Germany. so the decision was simply "live with it" ...
as there was no legal definition of "Made in Germany" in ANY legislation in BOTH states the Western - or BRD - industry - started to use "West" and "Western" to be different for customers .

 

addendum.
as the legislation about the use of "Made in Germany" was never clear in German legislations, there were already some rare companies that wanted to stress their geographical status even before the Great War, especially along the Rhine that had better relations to France than the Eastern provinces (Silesia, Pomerania etc.). but that's another story which wasn't investigated properly till today.
