I agree, in general and the Roman looks a bit iffy to me as well.

I don't know offhand if davey was quoting catalogue prices for average circulated or better grade. Off hand no great treasures.

The dates on those 4 ORE coins are: 1875, 1884, 1885 and 1902.

So, overall not bad, especially since I didn't expect much any way.

I think a couple of the US coins are silver and I know a couple of the boxed US sets are silver as well.

What do you think a fair asking price would be for the entire lot?......including the red boxed Japanese coins, boxed proof/silver US coins and tokens?

 

Not sure either, but didn't expect much for the lot.

Looks a lot like a bunch of coins I have. My mother collected random stuff. She was in the Army so she kept it all in an ammunition box. One day it'll all go to a grandchild to worry about. The only ones I kept were some Connecticut coppers from the 1770s. They're my fetish.

Davey - is there a decent online coin site? I hate to ask about random coins that probably aren't worth much. Most coin guys are pretty snooty.

 

Yes, I'm always glad to pontificate at no cost to the user and it's more interesting to me than all that flaming pressed glass.

 

Now, I wonder what pressed glass collectors think about coin collectors?

 

Talking coins, I have a few Canadian silver dollars, some from the 50s...worth more than a buck?
