I inherited this a few years ago and after some hunting around found the will of my 3xGreat-Grandmother which included this cabinet. She died in 1951, but I am curious to know when this cabinet might date from?

Is anyone able to offer any suggestions as to its age, possible origin and any other information?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Just standing it upright for you. Not to worry, for some reason certain phone pictures do this & we don't know why.

Hard to tell what's going on inside with the shelves. Reflections? Can you show it open?

Maybe a version of a Victorian music cabinet with wood inlay? 1900-1910?

What are the dimensions? Are the upper shelves set with velvet? As mentioned, a picture of it open might be useful, as would a picture of the back. Any plywood used n the construction?

Display cabinet of sorts. Marquetery has seen better days.

Not Victorian. Agree with Moreotherstuff on a 1920s date. The unusual appearance may indicate a hobby piece.
