This is my most recent addition to my collection. It stands 9 1/4" tall and is a hand painted panoramic view.
No damage other than some age wear to the gold.
I am sure the Very faded mark is the Nippon BiBi mark?
well 99.9%. You can make it 100% lol

Could be, but hard to say for sure it's so faded.

Hand painted Nippon for sure. I didn't need a mark to see that part! Can't read anything other than Nippon; the rest is a rubbed-out mystery.

Without a doubt Nippon, A dazzling vase with good artistry, Good for you Bullfog.

I have several of these from the Noritake collection with ships on them. Mine are Post 1908+ but early 1900's and stunning. Noritake is much more common in europe than Nippon as Nippon is an American invention from the McKinley tarrif.

Here is a snap, they are in a display cabinet so might be a reflection from the glass.

My grandmother collected a bunch of Noritake before she got married in 1921. Back then it had the Morimura Brothers mark instead of the N. It was marked Nippon at the time. Nippon was just a mark for country of origin.

Morimura Brothers indeed was the early Noritake.

Very nice vase @Francisco G Kempton
The early marks of Noritake are very rare. As far as i know the earliest export mark for Noritake and the Morimura family is the Komaru symbol Also called Maruki symbol.
Has the tree crest mark, Clan crest of the Morimura family.
This dish is the only example I have in my collection.

The Morimura Mark as we know. The M in a wreath about 1910-1921 with Nippon under it.

Here is an excellent resource for Noritake backmarks. It is designed in chronological order and is very easy to use and highly detailed.

I am in europe so nearly all the Nortiake marks on the Porcelain i collect are UK marks.

The oldest Uk mark is this original Maruki Mark from 1902 as above and you can see on my rose tea cup and saucer.

Also the pictures i have posted are all of the very oldest of the Noritake's collections. I think among the very first designs they released. I only ever collect the older types. I have some mid century 'luster ware' and ton of good quality vases and bowls and beautiful 1915 -1920 tea and coffee sets but aim for the older 1902 Maruki Mark and in particular the rose collection.

I think they switched around 1926 to a different sytle of writing. I am getting rusty now remembering but just as Gothenborg has said the curled up ends with the wide space ( made in japan) stopped in 1926-1928 i think. I am not certain but the backmark ( blue or green) with the Noritake company logo and Maruki in the circle and then the spaced out Made in Japan underneath is the older mark or the oldest of those marks from 1908 -1926 and then after this time we have the same exact backmark but it is more closely/tightly worded with the made in japan ( same mark but the MadeInJapan is spaced more tightly and is more commonly found in green rather than blue with red being later again) these tight spaced are usually newer ( like 1930's+ ) , but not necessarily but usually.. 1928/1930's and on. If you carefully research it, you will suss it out. :banghead:

You might have seen the Aynsley 'cabbage rose' Teapot signed J A Bailey thread and if i am not mistaken it was transfer printed! Anyway the teapot sold for $14,500 dollars on 80 bids. Cabbage Rose and haviland pink roses are apparently in huge demand and apparently Asia has something to do with the demand.

However that makes me wonder because Noritake are handpainted and antique and very good quality porcelain. Matter of time before these have some greater value. In saying that they do already sell quite high so i think the hype is already reaching into Noritake and or they are being hoarded by quick thinking sellers as i have seen strong spikes in prices for the rose collections in particular whereas other noritake not so much.

    https://www.antiquers.com/threads/holy-cow-look-at-this-price-on-eboo.65390/

Here are some Noritake from my collection. I have to admit that i have a huge Noritake collection. As the wisdom of buying antiques.. Rarity, quality and condition suit these very old Maruki Marks, and the quality of Nortiake porcelain is excellent with very high bone ash, and it has that illustrious delicate white which is singatory of noritake and impossible to fake or copy cheaply and they are usually always in good condition. When i began collecting they were also inexpensive. A fraction of what they might fetch now.
