old ladder back spindle chair

I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about this ladder back chair. Age?
Region? Style? The seat is woven rattan. It's made from maple I think and fairly light weight. Thanks

 

I wouldn't call this a ladder back chair. Those have the back pieces going cross-wise (like the rungs of a ladder) not vertically. Not sure what to call this chair. It's much more delicate looking than most.

 

It's a Chiavari style chair though other companies have made them. If you search online using keywords "Chiavari high back chair" you will see many examples.

 

I doubt it has any real age on it, but it looks cool.

 

Oh Hell No! That is way too delicate - I'd break that with my 225# frame just trying to sit down .........

So, I guess, from the price, I should put $100 on it and let it sit at my antique mall until next year as opposed to selling it at the neighborhood yard sale for $15.
