Hi all, another day and another item the other half has picked up. We know it’s uranium glass as it glows under the UV light and the Geiger counter goes nuts when placed next to it. I was wondering if anyone knows what style this would be called? It has a lid and is approx 34cm tall. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :) 677FEC14-D3E6-4F13-909A-5B2650E6799C.jpeg A48876B5-967F-4A84-A98F-14CBAFF27E2E.jpeg 677FEC14-D3E6-4F13-909A-5B2650E6799C.jpeg A48876B5-967F-4A84-A98F-14CBAFF27E2E.jpeg A21B3AFD-FF81-4630-A744-41771EAE802E.jpeg

Not really. Empoli glass refers to glass made in Empoli region of Italy. There were many factories in this area producing glass and it's next to impossible to attribute a piece to a particular manufacturer. Most Empoli glass was imported with generic Made In Italy labels. To date few, if any, manufacturer catalogs for this glass has surfaced. With experience glass can be attributed to the Empoli region by several distinctive features. In your case I think it is the shape of the glass combined with the thinness of the glass and the finial that lead me to believe it is Empoli. Ownedbybear is far more experienced than I and may have seen some other/additional features than I did. If you search Empoli glass on ebay you could probably find examples with some, and maybe all, of the features I mentioned. Hope this is helpful.

I thought red jelly/jam immediately when I saw it. The contrast would look so odd.
