image.jpg image.jpg This is a large oil painting that I loved at first sight. It's obviously a shore scene, not sure where it's signed Paco. Idid do some research on Paco oil paintings and found an artist in California that has paintings somewhat like mine, shore wise. I did see a signature of thst artist but the one I had seen was "Paco G".

    Hi Armando,
Perhaps I need more coffee but I am getting a "sofa art" vibe from this painting. I hope I am wrong and it is not a factory painting.

You know, the more I look at it, the feel of it, makes me believe the same. I hope it's not either "sofa art" I can post closer images later today.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I wish that I was in that location right now! Winter has arrived here, about a month early.

Looks like Florida Highwaymen art to me.

I looked at a list of artist for theFlorida Highwaymen and there wasn't one for a Paco.

I think tourist art as opposed to factory. You will probably never find out who Paco is. Could be FL but just as likely, Mexico, Costa Rica, etc.

As I have researched Paco Garcia from California, I'm starting to think that this may be a piece of his work. There are multiple reasons why I'm believing it is.

"Paco likes to use layers on his paintings to give depth. His paintings depict mediterranean type landscape, beautiful coastlines covered with flowers. The leaves on the cluster of foliage seem to float in a breeze presently."

The trees present in my painting are Flamboyant Trees, native to Southern California in which Paco is from, Baja. The painting has layers , mainly on the foliage, giving the painting a 3D effect. The leaves are painted in a way, that they are floating in a breeze.

Note: a Goodwill sold a painting signed "Paco" on their store online auction site. The painting had 20+ bids and sold over $900. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

I do not believe this is a Paco Garcia, the paint is very thin and the signature looks off.
thanks, I was trying to post a pic of my Paco for everyone but it says file to big. Mine is one of his earlier works I believe and I have not seen it anywhere outside my house so I like to share it once in awhile.

The original poster, has not been on this site since Jan 2016, so sadly probably won’t benefit from your advice. Feel free to read through the Forum and comment or question!
