Clock- 1896 but who made it?

    32734EF9-79C4-4478-8B95-1B4F22C41366.jpeg 1439E30A-FA69-45C7-BEB2-3C9B754FF771.jpeg 01242BBE-DAC8-4C73-85FB-85022E981418.jpeg I have this wind up chime clock and I see a date of April 28 1896 but I have not found any mark to identify who made it. Would anyone be able to give me some help with this?

    The patent date seems connected to Wm Gilbert clocks. Could have been made any time after that date.

    JMHO, the design of the case looks 1920s or so to me.
