    Badly rubbed, but I read it as a '6', typical numeric mark indicating 6 grams of silver were used to plate the piece, as the '18' would indicate on Slw's piece...

    You might contact a silver specialist at an auction house or Replacements.

    The mark is chistofle.
    They made both high end sterling AND silverplate items.

    Please cite the source for your assertion - if you are saying that the rooster is Christofle's 'Gallia Metal' mark, you are mistaken...

    Yours is not even a rooster.
    It's a variation OF chistofle
    CC mark the ones WITH 3 stars on top..
    Yours , you can see one star on right. T
    The mildle star is the one that makes your look like a rooster. And the last star got blended to the rooster you drr

    I'm pretty SURE IS christofle
    But your right , I'm not a god and I dont know everything, there is chance I could be wrong. I am human.
    Just my opinion, base on my experience.
    Do what you wantvwith it..

    Have no idea what you're referring to...



    Believe what you like, but the rooster mark shown by the two members here is not Christofle's and you provide no evidence that it is - the maker's mark has already been identified as Durousseau & Raynaud...
