I also like the “A-team” van colours.

I've had it for a while stored. But If I recall someone had suggested that original colour should be a shade of blue

Yes,I don’t know much. But I also think the colour is not original

s-l1600 (36).jpg Has the lines of a Packard or a Packard hot rod ( exhaust on the side of the hood ?) Lot's of different Packard pedal cars , that one has no "trunk" past the rear end and what looks like exhaust on the sides of the hood , and the metal "fold down top", that's the key points. and it looks like the wheels could be used "holes out" or holes in" ....this add is from 1932, this looks like a 30's build in that it is simple , seems like the earlier ones were more elaborate, one would think as the depression went on money got tighter and tighter , and the toys got less complex. Still, most kids never had one of these during the depression .

@Hachiko , I wonder if this is English or other European manufacture, the dash is sure different... I could not find anything that had that arrow on the side of the hood , that had cutout side door and convertible metal top . Does it say anything or have an "M" in the center of the hub cap ? Looks too old to be a Murray of any sort ...could not find wheels that have those large circle cutouts on the back side ....

possibly the expert will be along . Neat car .

Maltese emigrated to America and other countries after the war… I imagine it was easier to import from Europe in those days

I think it could be by the same manufacturer, Malta was under British rule in the 1920s-30s.
Another search option is the brand name Triang, or Tri-ang.

I found this interesting Triang/Lines Brothers catalogue on Worthpoint, the listing has some more info on the company:
    https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/1939-1940-triang-toys-lines-bros-64-464047506

And check this out, not your car, and in very good condition, but look at the realized price::jawdrop::)
