Pewter plate - Help with identifying

Hi. I have this plate i am trying to learn a little background on. I have been combing pewter sites trying to learn all I can but i need some help. I'm assuming the touchmarks are pseudo hallmarks, but anyone have any idea the age of this or what the marks may mean? Thank you in advance.

 

I don't have time to pull out my pewter books to look through this morning but I'll try this evening if no one else had found it for you. When I see that 95% ( tin content) I think it usually means it's newer but I haven't looked at any pewter for awhile.

I'm a pewter ignoramus but a quick search turned up this possibility, even though it doesn't seem to be a current offering:

"Match Pewter contains 95% tin, making it better quality than many pewter products on the market. Pieces are stamped with up to four different stamps: "M" for Match, "95" for both the year the company was formed and the percentage of tin content, the lion emblem which is the company logo. In addition, pieces are often stamped by the factory in Italy which produced the piece."

Right, a definite sign that a piece is relatively new, 20th century. I also haven't had time to look through my pewter references; however, my pewter books are on 19th century and earlier pewter marks. Pat's pewter site on tankards, etc... was one if not the best pewter marks sites out there. After he died, I was still able to get to his pages via an archive web engine. No more!! Can't get to the archived pages any longer. I did save a few of his pewter marks pages on to my computer. Possibly later today, I'll have time to scan through them. I wish I could clearly see the 3rd mark. I can clearly see the Lion rampant and the lobster but not the one in the pointed ellipse, marquise, shape. The mark appears to have letters around the top and some sort of figure in the center. The figure may be a standing eagle, a person in an elaborate costume, or who knows maybe E.T. Have included a cropped brightened enlargement of that 3rd mark. Hopefully someone with younger eyes can make it out.

That lobster looks more like a scorpion.

 

Somewhere I read that the rampant lion is a symbol used by the town of Brescia, Italy. Sure it is a very-widely used symbol in Europe but Brescia might be the only lion-symbol town with pewter factories. Agree with scorpion.

 

Hi, I found the same touch marks on several ebay items, and one of them came with original stickers - 'made in Thailand'. Here's the link:

I could not find any Italian/French/British touch marks featuring scorpio. French crab is the closest one, however it looks nothing like the touch mark on your plate and refers to sterling, not pewter.

I am new to this site and could do with any help you guys can offer on identifying the lobster/scorpion mark at the beginning of this thread.
Below are the marks on the bottom of my candle sticks.
Any information you can give on the crown, lobster/scorpion (top picture) and the unusual mark (bottom picture).
