Any thoughts on this pitcher? Was identified by seller as "European", perhaps German or French? About 8 1/2 inches high appears hand thrown with applied handle, spout and rosettes around the top. Very thin pottery! Not very precisely made. Drip glaze. Thanks in advance for any help! -Joe

That's interesting. Is the shape or glaze that gives you that impression?

Similar glazes can be found in Spain and México but -- to my eye -- the shape doesn't look right for either. This is loza verde from Oaxaca.

I'd be thinking more WWI-era American art pottery, but I'm no expert.

Thanks. Most of those were slip cast, this one is thrown and quite thin. Maybe just studio pottery.
