Bitossi don't stamp with their name on older pieces or always. It's the style of the ITALY mark, if there is one, and the general style of the piece. A bit I used to have:

I'll probably never see any here, but if I do it'll be for pennies since no one else knows what it is either!

Join the Facebook Bitossi group, they've got some really good albums.

I haven't been out much due to the heat and humidity. A few recent finds:
The Laurel Burch silk scarf was $2 at an otherwise over-priced yard sale.

The 26" onyx necklace with a 14k gold clasp and spacers was an antique mall mistake in a zip lock bag marked "black beads" for $4.

Yesterday a local thrift had no jewelry, but I picked up this little Madame Alexander doll with a stand for $6. After researching her, I found that she was made only one year, in 1996, and some sources say she was an FAO Scwharz exclusive. The last one like this, no tag, no box, with a stand, sold for $88 on eBay. She is from the international collection, Mali. 20210828_092422.jpg

I like the doll, oddly, and congrats on the beads! I went out tag-saling today and struck out on jewelry except for some Mardi Gras beads for a donation thing my church does every year. Went out at 7:30 and got home at 11:30 after going to the grocery store at the end. Spent $25 on groceries and maybe $12 on "stuff". Dismal. There was an estate sale locally I could have gone to, but I ran into the homeowner first. No jewelry, just their old furniture and housewares. Given who was running the sale I couldn't run quickly enough. Oddly when I got there it was Number time and there wasn't a show runner in sight. Not a good sign.

Got a few things today and others yesterday. Today's haul included some lucite napkin rings that I hope to pass along to another dealer locally. That was probably the "best" thing - they're still out in my trunk, along with some pewter Dr Seuss Christmas ornaments. The second shot has my favorite finds in it - not valuable, just good for giggles.

Thank you. I am sitting here in a thrift shop trying to decide if these watercolors are worth $42 for the pair. Then I have to go grocery shopping.

And then this for fifty pence. It's one of those Bradford Exchange ones, which they charge almost a hundred quid for! WHA'?

So I undid the backs of the "watercolors." They were photographs of watercolors. I bought the old lithograph, "Sunset Dreams," for my bedroom.

She is indeed a Sindy. I had that exact outfit, but my Sindy had brown hair.

My greatgrandparents had one of these lithos in their living room in the 50s and I loved it. It disappeared some time before they passed. I have been wanting to find one, but I don't remember the artist or printer to search for it. @Marko, do you know the name? I used to know it but simply cannot remember!

Aha!! Fox didn't sound right and lo and behold he used the pseudonym, Maxfield Parrish!! That's what my great-grandmother called it!!

Mine could be a print. I am clueless. I love the shabby chic frame. Here is some info on the artist and his other works. For $31, I couldn't live without it.
