OK. I'll say what I found just to invite contradiction (since I don't know from experience). It's a sliding wire bridge used to determine an unknown electrical resistance. If so, it's missing a battery, slider and galvanometer.

I just barely passed Chemistry & knew better than to try to take a Physics class. ;):playful::p:rolleyes::D:D :hilarious::hilarious:

I am definitely a concrete thinker in that I have trouble understanding abstract-type subjects. I did just fine in biology as well as anatomy & physiology. :smug::smug::smug:

    Try Wheatstone Bridge. ;)

I used them for O and A level Physics.

Does a Wheatstone bridge require a scale?

A ‘B’ in Home Economics obviously didn’t prepare me with the correct life skills…..:hilarious:

The scale is actually the differential on that "rule", if that makes sense. I'l see if I can find an explanation which doesn't go into reams of formulae.

Went to the Ill Will and found a Baccarat old-fashioned ... with a rim chip. Then one marked England, but only one. Zero jewelry at all. The ReStore was closed, probably due to rain.

OTOH a little charity thrift one town over turned up a pair of Dragonware teacups, with naked lady lithopanes. They're still in my trunk and will go locally - a. they're fragile and b. the nannies can't chew on what the nannies can't see. Also got some cotton fabric for messing with and a Turkish-made gold-plated sterling necklace. AND an invite to go back Thursday afternoon when they put the jewelry that just came in out for sale.

Found this Bitossi, Aldo Londi, penguin for less than $4. Didn’t know they existed and I’ve picked lots of Bitossi over the years.

I've only heard of the brand because you mentioned it, so they really did let one slip through the cracks. Cute little thing!

Bitossi is one of those things which if you know, you know. I've grabbed lamp bases for a few pennies, literally. Even chipped, they've serious value.
