Please would you cast your eyes over this jug for me?
@Ownedbybear has kindly looked and suggested late 19th C and possibly French or Belgian. Any suggestions for search terms that could help further please? It’s c7-8 inches tall.
    Thankyou for looking :)

    Try “Majolica syrup pitcher”.

I would include England as a possibility. They made a lot of these.

    Might try "blended glaze"

It would be milk jug rather than syrup pitcher here. ;)

    I'd forgotten blended glaze.

Are these numbers or just a trick of the glaze? Looks like 42 / 92? (I also see a couple of S or 5 more in the middle but I think I'm really reaching there)

Wow I don’t know. Don’t see anything towards the middle. But the number 42 also looks clear to me now. However now it also looks to me that there’s a faint 2 in front of the 4. But the number 42 is much more prominent/clear. So maybe the other 2 is just imagination. Anyway love the colours on this.

Yes, I see a 42 :pompous: You have good eyes SIS!.
It’s growing on me. I was going to send it on its way but its autumnal colours will look good with some flowers in it.

That might well be a shape number.

Maybe you can see things better in person. These are the other areas I sort of see (but I see shapes in clouds so I'm not sure at all).
