I hope everyone us having a great day! :)
I got this in a lot a while back. I was finally able to decipher the stamp/marking. It says Newbridge Silverware. Even the tag by the clasp has NB stamp.
I've seen spoons and forks turned into jewelry before but this one kinda stumped me.
I also noticed it looked like silver rubbed off so now that I got my cleaning cloths I rubbed one side and cloth looks black...is it only silver that rubs off black?
If it is, there isn't much of it left anyways...haha
    Just curious...any thoughts?
    Thx:)

Newbridge Silverware has been Ireland's premier designer and producer of jewellery, homeware and gifts since 1934.

And because there are no markings for silver, it's likely to be EPNS.

Yes, the black indicates silver being rubbed off the surface, but not necessarily sterling.

I suspect the author looks at that photo now, cringes and thinks ‘it seemed like a good idea at the time’
Glad it’s a good book, don’t judge a good book by its cover is very applicable here!

I guess I'm kinda quirky because I thought the cover was cute & witty! Being an elementary school teacher for many years i found myself "dressing up" often to make learning fun for students...but i had fun too!

I've got a few Newbridge bits, they're decent silver plate. That flat "jump ring" is a dead giveaway for modern non precious.

I've found a few of those pulltab-shaped things that were sterling but most are costume. As in 99% most.

Pulltab is an excellent term for them.

The chain appears to be "homemade",probably by the same person who soldered the ring to the pendant.

Eh, looks original to me - just as it came from the manufacturer...

Yeah maybe...I've looked through images of NB jewelry but haven't seen one like this to compare. I don't even know how to describe the pendant to search...any ideas?:)

The links are poorly soldered,I have never seen bad soldering on a commercial chain.
