Rings on my fingers again. And on my ears....

    The butterscotch amber ring has a nice USSR mark. G62A (2).jpg G63B (2).jpg G61A (3).jpg G59B (2).jpg G60B (2).jpg G63A (3).jpg G60A (2).jpg G59A (2).jpg

Wow, you hit the jackpot. It’s not often I see that many nice pieces at a car boot sale or maybe I’m just too slow. I’ve got a few bits to post but the top find this weekend was a roll of electric sheep netting for £10 rather than c£100 which is the only thing that keeps the naughty pony in the right paddock!

What is the gem beside the slices of Opal?
Are the earrings glass or the real thing? NA? I’ve seen that pie chart circle mark before……

The top ring looks like tiger's eye. The earring backs are made by a manufacturer who then sells them to jewelry makers. No idea who it is, but the earrings look to be some Navajo dude. (smiths in that culture being almost all male traditionally.)

I'm not sure on the pink stone, I need to test it. Yes to tiger's eye, with marcasite. The earrings are turquoise - I've got others with those back fittings, NA made, so I'd think these are kosher enough.

Those findings were wholesaled out to anyone who'd buy them is my guess.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

@Ownedbybear , do you wear the things you find, or sell them, or give them as gifts, or... what?

    SELL? ;)

I wear and hoard mostly. The odd thing is a gift.

I’ve just heard on the radio that they are doing an article on lockdown hoarding.
    Oops…..

I have a bracelet that is a perfect match to the lapis ring.

I think I am very odd as I rarely wear mine, just my grandmothers wedding band and occasionally a Czech glass necklace. I love the research and studying it and looking at it more than wearing it. It also comes from mostly wearing clothing that is appropriate for outdoor equestrian activities rather than bling. Horses and jewellery are not a good mix!

My bestie has the same issue. Knabstrupper mare and bling do not consort.

The mare might eat the bling, and if she doesn't the turf will?

    Truth.

She's fallen off the damn thing a few times: 16 hands. These days, she wears a sort of air jacket which inflates if you come off. Saves the ribs.

    That's not a horse, it's a house!
