It must be a special fabric, to be framed as a pendant.
    So do I!:cat:
That too, but as far as pets go, cats are my favourites.

Doggoes are mine but cats are a very, very close second. My Luna Dog's going to have her bits out next week ***EEEKKK** and I'm petrified. Not that I think sommet'll happen to her but I couldn't cope if it did xx

You haven't told her, have you?:muted:
It is a routine procedure for vets, I'm sure she will be ok.:)

Thank you my lovely. Not the first time I've been here either so you'd think I'd have more sense. I know I don't need to explain to you how it is with animals we love. I'm not rational at times though, but I am sure she'll be ok. She is SUCH a darling. xxx

My cats Feefs had Teef Trub. Had to have half of em out,the other half were already gone before I got hold of her. Animals are a SPPENSIVE business!

I agree the first necklace looks to be authentic Gerda Lynggaard Monies, but missing the "Monies" hang tag. If authentic, the beads are horn. If you want confirmation, you could email info@monies.dk and maybe find out if the large bead was originally part of the necklace. A year ago I had questions on a few necklaces that I thought might be unsigned Monies, so I emailed photos to Monies Copenhagen and it was forwarded to someone in their Paris showroom, who was very kind to identify the ones that are authentic. [edit: my questions were answered by Sara Warming, Project Manager | MONIES A/S in Copenhagen, I mistakenly thought the reply came from the Paris showroom because it was listed at the very bottom of the email.]

I believe that is a peruvian textile fragment pendant and it is probably 950 silver.

I have a few pre-Columbian Peruvian textile fragments that I got from a friend of my parents who used to live in Peru. He had a collection of pre-Columbian items which just left Peru in the late 60s along with his household goods.
There had been a ban before, but from 1929-1985 artifacts in private possession only had to be registered. I have no idea what that means for the legality under Peruvian law, but here in the Netherlands it is OK if it was in your possession before 1970.

I think your pendant dates from the 70s, but the fabric may have been in the owners possession before the pendant was made.
Peruvian silver is generally 925, but it was probably not made in Peru, because there are no Peruvian marks or a specific Peruvian style. The silver does look like sterling to me.

    SO interesting !!
I'd never ever have imagined ALL this history when I picked this pendant up on Sunday. (I only have an hour to look around as can't leave my doggoes as they are norty, and my hub walks em for an hour whilst I browse. It's 12 or so miles from where we live)
I just saw what looked like silver so in my * to buy* pile it went.

SO many different things to think about!
Never would I have even dreamt about all this. Peru and stuffs!
(FWIW it feels/seems like sterling to me )xx

    Another item for The Hoarditorium!
Thank you my AJ as always xxx

You have a piece of amazing history in that pendant. Not only that, the ancient Peruvians had weaving techniques which haven't been deciphered yet.
(Was going to say unraveled. Wrong word when it comes to textile preservation:banghead:)
