Susanna Heron

Just wondering if anyone is familiar with this artist? I Have a piece of her work but there is little information online about her items of jewellery and anything I can find is in a museum.

Its a silver ring. Just trying to do some research!

Sorry you are right, here is some pictures its sterling silver, hallmarked for Susanna Heron, London 1972.

I believe she was well known for acrylic jewellery mainly. But I just cant find much about her work, 2 pieces I have found in Scottish museums?

Are you specifically looking for pictures of examples of her work with sold for prices? Or just more info about the person herself?

 

I am specifically interested in her silver work, I saw an incredible bangle she did in a museum listing.

Im not fussed about prices sold for, But I am wondering If I have stumbled apon something a bit special. Mostly her stuff is in museums so It has me wondering.

Seems jewellery was in the early days of her Career, then she moved into sculpture. I did read somewhere that she threw all her jewellery of a New York sky scraper before she got into sculpture but no idea if thats true!

See this is the problem I am having! I did find this page - the shape of the ring is spot on but that one does not seem to have the acrylic inlay.

I've seen her stuff, I think. I've a feeling I bought a piece for my bestie.

 

If that's so, then that must mean there's a few other pieces out in the wild besides the one ring MrMadHatter has..!

 

If she still has it would love to see a pic, So far it all seems to be in museum collections over the world and I'm wondering why? a notable artist that did not make many pieces perhaps?
