Featured Original Galle Vase or repro

J have this vase that I'm pretty sure is a mold blown Galle vase. It measures 5-7/8" and is three colored. The interior of the vase is not wheel cut but hollowed out, the lip is rounded. Hopefully somebody out there can guide me or answer my question as to it being the real McCoy, thanks in advance. The pictures are backlit with an led light aimed at stomach of vase, Picture in response is taken with no backlight.

 

A well lit, crisply focused shot of the signature would probably help a lot.

 

In paperweights, a frosted base is a sign of Chinese origin. I'm no expert but I do know that much. This doesn't feel like Galle; the black trees look too clunky. The colors are nice though.

Doesn't look like that signature starts with a "G".

 

I think it's new Galle' as the signature is too orderly for an original piece. It's got the ground off top shown in the repro link posted by INH (thanks) so my thoughts go there.

 

The lip is not flat ground but more rounded and no signs of grinding inside.

 

I'm by no means an expert in galle glass, but don't think you need to be to tell this isn't an Original piece

See, this is why I like this forum, different opinions, some good and some bad, but ultimately you learn something new by hearing them. Well, hopefully I'll get more input before the night is out, thx..

 

No worries mario, I've been in the same position, hoping the piece that I found was a galle too, but you soon learn to differentiate

Comparisons are so valuable. Given a choice, the eye instinctively chooses well.

A repro and not a good one, sadly. It's sloppily done, the colours aren't good and nor is the rim. Finish is bad and that base is shocking.

And then the decoration. Yes, the base shape was mould blown but the decoration on real Galle is hand finished. That isn't.
