    That has the appearance of a Chinese factory painting. Look at the haste with which it is painted. I doubt very much there is an M. Austin. And its value would be decorative.

    Noe, fyi for the future, when posting photographs of paintings, please include a photograph of the back as well. It provides a lot of helpful clues for identification. Thanks.

    Oh wow, I never knew M. Austin was well known...I bought a painting in Niagara-on-the-lake from an art gallery in the early 2000's and just loved the piece but didn't know it was a known artist...neat! (the piece is a 3 foot x 4 foot painting of irises) Does anyone know more about this artist?
