I know it has major flaws on the handles and probably a lid is missing, but I am still curious. What would this be used for? The holes are too close for single flowers and too many asparagus stems would be thick. Any ideas? It measures 3 1/2 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter on the top rim. Thank you. 0F295239-E145-4429-AF5E-CAB17F2C7E0F_1_201_a_20.jpg 2D003C5E-9F9E-4C51-92BB-08FE9762EB95_1_201_a_20.jpg DF52A865-CE5E-4B12-BFCA-E2C024F55743_1_201_a_1_20.jpg

Probably for pot pourri or a pastile burner, nice piece, could be early 19th century from the looks.

Would hard boiled eggs be the right size to stand in the holes?

Potpourri sounds about right and I looked up photos and that confirms it. Any idea as to mark, well the blue line. Not much to go on.
