Nielloed jewellery, just a question…

I don't know if it's posted on the right place, but our administrators can correct that if necessary, sadly a good friend and collector dies weeks ago and it was a good buyer for all small nielloed items by me, including jewellery.
My question is if there is international interest for those niello jewels, broochs buttons etc…
I accept to take this material for sale and as it's not for me there are two solutions(I have no time for selling them myself on markets), first to put them in a specialised auction in Germany or in Switzerland, countries which make the major part of niello, or it is an interest in other countries and selling them on Ebay is the better solution ?
In a search on ebay, there are a lot of buy it now at unrealistic prices(and a lot of asiatic items), some are certainly here from months or years and don't give me a real opinion for that solution.

    This is the right place.:)
Antique/early 20th century European niello sells. There is demand for Russian/Caucasus niello, Ottoman, and early 20th century niello from Syria/Iraq, that general part of the Middle East.
Niello from Afghanistan and further east is rarely worth the hassle imho.
I tend to stay away from mass produced Siam niello, but it does sell for modest prices.

For quality items, selling on Etsy is better than on ebay. For us from small countries there is the added bonus of reaching an international market without the restrictions ebay has. Etsy doesn't have a national bias. You can set up your own shop and decide if and when you want to sell.

Some Siam Niello sells - the colours go well, rather than black.

Surely the colours are enamel rather than niello. I have a sneaking suspicion the black is also enamel, but they call it niello.....

The major part is end of the 19th beginning of the 20th century jewellery, some honeymoon brooches and pendants, number of horse practicing related cravate pins and brooches, most are typical austrohungarn gold inlaid nielloed from that period.
As I have sold the majority of them I know that they are no souvenir russian ones, I sold them on Ebay years ago, it wan't them because they were not so finely made than the german ones.
I have to take them home for making pictures, I don't know Etsy and go to that website later for a view., thanks for your help!!!

A lot depends, as others have said, on who made it and when. It would help to see it too.

I go on Etsy with your link, but it's based on a system like the buy it now and that can take a lot of time to sell, I think ebay will be a better solution to sell that fast, some prices on etsy are so high compared to the market with items like I have to sell, a broach witch the same is in this collection is for sale at a price of 200€ and i know the value is about 80€ on current market then I'm afraid that people don't go for that reason ?

Ebay to sell fast and cheap, Etsy to sell for retail prices. Yep, pretty much. Another possibility would be something like Facebook Marketplace, if there is a good local market for niello pieces. Pieces sold there are often picked up in person, so no one is paying shipping.

If you list yours (your client's) for 80€, then people are more likely to buy yours than a similar one for 200€. That is the way we do it on Etsy.

Ok, but if they think as me, they go on a website with less fantasy prices, you think not ?
I'm not a buyer on websites for what I have, the major part is coming from guys searching for me(don't know the name for them in english), and I've no time to search on thausend of offers then i go to the most efficients in my google or other search.

Ah, but Etsy is a very well-known site, much more so than for instance Ruby Lane or Trocadero. And it comes up in many google searches.
I can see on our Etsy info page how many people find our shop through google, and it is amazing. We can also see the visits we get through other search engines, and sites like pinterest.

But the way you sell your items is of course entirely your choice. If you want a fast sale, ebay is probably best. Another option is Catawiki, they have jewellery auctions for different periods, and silver auctions.
