WWII Japanese Rifle

    This comes from the same estate as the sword collection I posted first. Can anyone identify what kind of rifle this is?

    No idea. Did some reading now just for my own interest. Thinking maybe the Arisaka Type 99. (But then again it should have a forward folding monopod) Looking forward to hear what an expert says. Looks in very good condition. Was it refurbished or restored? Anyway cool rifle

    Found out I believe it is a type 97 sniper rifle

    Wow a sniper rifle.So obviously more rare and valuable than a normal infantry rifle. Thank you for letting me know
