I picked this item up at a consignment shop and have done numerous hours of research to try and figure out, what is it? Is it a vase or a trash can or ? Is it Chinese or Japanese? Is it porcelain? Does it have any value?

I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what this is and what its value may be.

    Thanking you in advance.

Edited to add the measurements: It is about 10-1/4 inches tall, 11 inches across the top at its widest, and the bottom at its widest is 8 inches.

It must be huge if you think it could be used as a trash can!

LOL! I just edited my original post to add measurements which it is about 10-1/4" tall, 11" across the top at its widest point, and bottom across at its widest is 8". So about the same size as trash can in bathroom and/or by the bed, etc.

Sorry, I am new to posting and for some reason the pictures posted more than once. I did just try to delete the repeats, hopefully I was successful in doing so.
